- We
do not sell customer information to other companies for marketing
purposes.
- We
employ strict security standards and safeguards to protect your
personal information and prevent fraud.
- We
will continue to protect your privacy, even if you are no longer
a customer.
We
share only what is necessary or customary in order for us to conduct
our business and comply with applicable laws. For example, in order
to provide products and services to you, we sometimes work with
various other companies that help us with tasks such as processing
transactions and creating monthly statements. We also make disclosures
that are required by law, such as disclosures to law enforcement
agencies, court orders and IRS subpoenas. We carefully select the
outside companies that provide services on our behalf and restrict
the information we provide them to that which is necessary to fulfill
their responsibilities or offer a service to you. These companies
are prevented by legal agreement from using customer information
for their own purposes or selling this information to others.
This
notice applies to both First County Bank and our wholly owned subsidiary,
First County Bank Mortgage Company.
In
the course of doing business, we do collect nonpublic personal information
about our customers from the following sources:
- Information
we receive directly from you on applications and other forms;
- Information
from transactions on your accounts with us, our affiliates or
others; and
- Information
we receive from an outside source such as a consumer reporting
agency.
From
time to time we may share some or all of the nonpublic personal
information we collect, as described above, with nonaffiliated companies.
These companies may be companies that perform marketing services
on our behalf or financial institutions with which we have joint
marketing agreements. The nonaffiliated financial institutions may
include service processors that provide our credit card services.
The non-financial companies may include, for example, companies
that assist us with mailing and data analyses.
We
may also disclose nonpublic personal information with nonaffiliated
third parties as permitted by law. Such sharing of information generally
occurs in the course of conducting business, and may include, for
example:
- sharing
information with consumer reporting agencies;
- with
businesses used by us for account maintenance and servicing;
- to
comply with applicable law;
- and
to protect against fraud.
We
also have policies in place that are designed to limit access to
nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who
need to know that information about you to complete transactions
for you, to offer other financial services of the bank that may
be of interest to you, or to complete other work on our behalf.
We also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards
that comply with federal standards to protect your nonpublic personal
information.
If
you decide to close your accounts or become an inactive customer,
we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices
described in this notice.
This
privacy notice is merely a summary of select aspects of policies
and procedures and does not constitute a contract. We reserve the
right to revise the policies and procedures described in this privacy
notice from time to time.

and confidentiality of your information. If you have any questions
